So what can you do to relieve stress and improve your wellbeing in the workplace?

What is STRESS?

Stress is the emotional and physical strain caused by our response to pressure from the outside world. Common stress reactions include tension, irritability, inability to concentrate, and a variety of physical symptoms that include headache and a fast heartbeat.

It’s almost impossible to live without some stress. Most of us wouldn’t want to, because it gives life some spice and excitement. But if stress gets out of control, it may harm your health, your relationships, and your enjoyment of life.

When we are stressed our body produces stress hormones (e.g. Adrenaline and Cortisol).  These hormones affect other hormones like our blood sugar balancing hormones and our reproductive hormones. So being stressed can have far reaching effects by affecting our weight and reproductive cycles as well as how we feel.

What most people don’t realise is that you can do something to reduce your stress levels. You can change the way you respond to stressful situations, change your diet and take natural medicines to help your body deal with stress in a better way.

NLP & Stress

Our perspective when it comes to stress can be all important.  We’ve all seen it where something happens and one person feels really affected by it and others do not.  How can this be?  Could it be that the event or situation itself can be interpreted differently depending on your point of view?

NLP provides us with a blueprint of reality that shows how others have positively responded to similar stressful situations that we are facing at present.  This lets us understand about practical life-situations and how it can be handled successfully.  We see the differences in approaches and learn to easily and effortlessly change our attitudes to stressors.
