1 year birthday 10p promotion in Hythe Herald newspaper (Jan – 13 Feb 2010)

by hayley on January 7 2010

Today we have been featured in our local Hythe Herald newspaper and the Folkestone Herald. The article is about how we are celebrating a successful 2009 (our first year in our new premises) with a charity fundraising promotion. Until February 13th 2010 we are offering 10p appointments for Herbal Medicine, Reflexology, Hypnotherapy, NLP, Counselling, EFT and Osteopathy. We don’t get the 10p – it goes to charity (and many generous people are giving much more!) The charity we are supporting is MacMillan Cancer Support as we very much believe in the valuable service they provide to help people to cope with this illness.

Please note this offer has now ended.

The full article we submitted to the paper reads as follows:

Herbal medicine continues to thrive as local business celebrates a successful year

Foreman & Jones are celebrating a successful 2009 by reinstating their hugely popular ‘10p Appointment’ promotion. The Hythe based ‘integrated health practice’ are due to celebrate their 1st birthday in January 2010, rewarding patients old and new with the opportunity to try out a range of treatments and therapies available at the clinic for only 10p.

Foreman and Jones established their practice in Hythe High Street in January 2009 and since that time have successfully treated hundreds of patients covering a wide variety of ailments and conditions. Run by qualified Medical Herbalists Jodie Foreman and Hayley Jones, the practice has grown to incorporate a range of treatments and therapies through local practitioners.

Due to the success of last year’s promotion, which raised over £300 for children’s charity Demelza House, Jodie and Hayley are running the promotion again between 5th January – 13th February 2010. All proceeds will be donated to Macmillan Cancer support, following their immensely popular ‘Macmillan Coffee Morning’ event at the clinic in September which raised £256.

Hayley comments: “The promotion is both a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of this worthwhile cause and to encourage people to find out a little more about alternative medicine, therapies and the associated benefits. We believe the continued success of our practice comes down to the growth in awareness of both herbal medicine and alternative therapies amongst the population. We’re looking forward to helping more patients to feel better in themselves in 2010 and beyond.”

The range of available treatments and therapies includes Herbal Medicine, Reflexology, Hypnotherapy, NLP, Counselling and EFT and Osteopathy. Herbal Medicine has enjoyed a great deal of press exposure during 2009 following a high profile campaign in support of Government regulation of herbalists, organised by Jodie Foreman, Hayley Jones and four fellow herbalists, which included a demonstration outside Westminster by members of the NIMH (National Institute of Medical Herbalists).
