Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with Paul Mousley

Cognitive Behavoiural Therapy is a psychological approach based on scientific principles. Research has shown it to be effective for a wide range of problems.

Clients and therapists work together to identify and understand problems in terms of the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviour. The approach relies on the client and therapist developing a shared view of the client’s problem. This then leads to the identification of personalised, time-limited therapy goals and strategies which are continually monitored and evaluated.

Research has shown Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to be an effective form of psychotherapy, particularly for the following –

- Anxiety
- Phobias
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Depression
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
- General Health Problems
- Chronic pain
- Anger
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Sleep Disorders
